Placing your order correctly

To get the right colour, order using your vehicle's factory paint code, not the colour name alone. Colour names are not unique: the same name can mean different formulas across years and manufacturers.

The code is usually on a label in the driver's door jamb. Our paint code pages show where each manufacturer prints it, and our vehicle selector lists the codes for your year, make and model.

We mix the code you give us. An order placed with the wrong code, a guessed code, or a colour name alone is at your own risk, and is not covered by our colour match guarantee. If you order through manual entry, we check your details before mixing.

Order Cancellations

All ChipFixx kits are custom-produced on a per-order basis. Once production has begun, your order cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel, contact us immediately at info@chipfixx.ca — if paint mixing has not yet started, we will do our best to accommodate the request.

Test your colour before you apply it

Before painting your vehicle, dab a little paint on a piece of white card and let it dry. Then hold the card against your vehicle in daylight. If the colour looks wrong, stop and contact us before applying it. See our Refunds and Colour Match Guarantee policy for how to make a claim.

Safety and Responsible Use

ChipFixx products contain paint and chemical compounds. By purchasing and using our products, you agree to use them safely and responsibly. Please follow all instructions included in your kit.

Important safety reminders:

  • Keep all products out of reach of children and pets
  • Use products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection) during application
  • Open containers carefully to avoid spills
  • Dispose of paint products in accordance with your local municipal waste regulations

Product Liability

ChipFixx's liability for any claim arising from the purchase or use of our products shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product. This includes any damage resulting from application errors, spills, or misuse.

ChipFixx is not responsible for damage to your vehicle resulting from improper application, failure to follow kit instructions, or application without prior test card verification.

Product Shelf Life

ChipFixx touch-up paint and related products have a shelf life of approximately 18–24 months when stored properly. Store products at room temperature (15°C–27°C), away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and freezing temperatures. Do not store in a vehicle or uninsulated space during Canadian winters.
